Invités par Valencia capitale du design 2022,  Le studio MUT Design et moi-même avons dessiné la scénographie de l’exposition visant à promouvoir le design valencien à travers
le monde. Cette scénographie se compose de cinq grandes structures proposant cinq grandes thématiques : design et art, économie circulaire, industrie et artisanat, technologie, économie transformative. Les demis cilindres recouverts de miliers de lamelles de bois forment un espace d’exposition labyrinthique. Ils sont nés d’une colaboration fructueuse avec l’artisan «fallero» et valencien Manolo Garcia spécialisé dans le travail du bois pour des constructions monumentales.

MUT Design Studio and I developped the set up for the main exhibition «The future is design»  promoting the valencian design through the world. The aim is to provide a contemporary vision of Valencian industrial and artisan production through five categories: economy, crafts, design as the engine of economy, the frontier between art & design and technology. These five categories are shaped in five pavillions. Each Pavilion is built by hand, of small strips of wood, like overlapping scales upon wooden stretchers. Curved lines, generate a labyrinthine space, full of corridors, caves and cul-de-sacs, where lights, shapes and sounds help create a hypnotic effect and enveloping feeling.
